Back from honeymoon

So I am married! Kati and I just returned from our honeymoon in Spain and 2 weeks of helping my mum and her boyfriend with some renovating work in their house in Switzerland. We are now back in harpenden putting our flat together and starting work again. We had an amazing time in Spain. We stayed in a villa for five days and then another five days in a hotel. Below are some pictures of us and of Murcia which is the city we were in. Right now we are setting up our apartment (pictures to come in next post) and we will be starting work again here at YWAM Harpenden in a few days. I am excited to get back to work creating, updating and maintaining websites for YWAM bases and other ministries. Kati will start working in the cafe again where she has been greatly missed!

Flying, Wedding and a new website!

It has been a long week for Kati and I. We are in El-paso Texas with Kati’s family preparing for the wedding here. This Saturday is our first ceremony, we are pretty much prepared and very excited. If you are not coming to either of our ceremonies and you would like to watch them you can click on this link. The wedding is on the 17th of March at 14:00 Mountain time. You can watch it live or you can watch it at any time after that.

On the 20th we are flying back to England and the 24th is our second ceremony in Harpenden England. You will also be able to watch that ceremony online. I will post a link closer to the date.

As you can see I have also been busy redesigning my website recently and I have just made the redesign go live. (if you notice anything broken or if you have a comment then please leave a comment below or use the contact form on the contact me page)

Hi everyone. Yesterday I tried to make a realistic muzzle flash, smoke, shell being ejected and stuff like that.
Here is the result:

the Original video was from youtube. The Muzzle flash, the smoke and the shell were done in blender and then I put it together in Adobe Premiere.

Back in Harpenden

After two weeks in Liverpool aboard the Next Wave we have been back in Harpenden for a week now. Still working on the Next Wave website. We managed to get three design ideas finished and we have sent them off to the captain of the Next Wave and he will decide which one he likes best. Below is a 3D version of the Next Wave that I have created and will be used on the website.

Next Wave Website Project – Liverpool

Me and the rest of the school are here on the “Next Wave” which is a ship run by YWAM. We are creating a website for the ship as part of the “practicum” (second part of the school). It is quite a big project and I am really excited. Today (16th of Jan) we arrived, we will stay here for two weeks, working alongside the crew, helping out with work duties and most importantly creating an epic website. We are staying on the ship where we will be doing most of our work but also there is a YWAM base in Liverpool who has their offices in a cathedral. When we get to the part of the project where the students will need to use the computers to design on then we will be working from there.

The wedding prep is going on even though me and Kati are separated for these two weeks. We will be sending out invites very soon and I have also created a website for our wedding so feel free to head on over there and take a look.

The SWDC 2011 lecture phase is over

The Christmas break is over, I went to my mums house in Switzerland for christmas and then spent new years eve at my dads house in London. The second part of the School of Web Design has started, this part is the “Practicum” which is kind of like an internship. We are going to be doing a few different projects which I will post about in my next update. The students have been learning allot in their school so far. As most of you know Kati and I are getting married soon. We will be flying out to the US the first week of march to get married for the Law in the city where Kati’s family lives (Elpaso). On the 24th of March we will have a Ceremony in Harpenden. For the time leading up to and during the wedding I will create a website that you can visit for updates. We will most probably also be livestreaming the ceremony live for those of you who are not able to attend.

Web Evangelism Week

The School is in its 8th week and the first two days of this weeks topic is web evangelism. The students are being taught ways to evangelise through the web and good examples of websites and groups that are doing effective evangelism online. An example of this is yesHEis It is a video site that lets outreach teams and people that are interested in finding out more about God.

On Wednesday we will start learning about video. How to shoot and edit video effectively and share it on the web.

Kati and I have been talking and praying about our wedding next year. It is very difficult because we have family in two different continents. Please be praying for us, that God will help us make the right choices.

A few weeks ago me and Kati went to Paris with my dad. It was fun and we had a great time. We went on a boat trip over the Seine and visited most of the major tourist attractions. Here are some photos that we took while we were there.

The SWDC 2011 has started!

The third week of the school has started, we have three students that are attending the school and it is going great. When the school ha just started though things did not look so good. As some of you may know we only had one student that was here for the first week of he school. Two more had visa problems and one other student did not have enough money. We prayed and asked God what we should do and we felt like he was telling us to hold onand keep praying for the students. Now a long story short both of the students that were waiting for their visas have gotten them! So we have started the school as normal and the students are learning allot. This week they are learning about the design principles and how to apply them to their work.

My website has been down for the last week because I was moving it to a new server so if you noticed that then I am sorry. It is up again and it should not have any more problems.
